hmmmm....

Well here I am... Friday, July 25th 6:45 pm....

I'm about to leave to see Vincent before he leaves for his bike trip.  It's hard for me to wrap my head around the idea that the next time I'm in this room, he will be gone from Seattle.  I will perhaps be trusting that he will visit in Kentucky if it is right... or maybe I'll be sad when I return to this room.  Anticipating uncertainty.

The garden is well, I'm  thankful for the early spring sewing... because if it had required lots of work lately it would be in worse shape...

Not much longer in Seattle... also hard to believe...

well shucks transitions... they are somethin'.

I bet you had guessed that there has been a lot since my last posting... there has... sorry for the slowness!  Bub, Linda, Rosie, Missy, Eli, Corrie, and Alix all visited.  I went to Chuck E Cheese's on my birthday.  It has been sunny!  Went campin' for the 4th of July with L'Arche friends, KY kids, and Vincent.  Went campin' again for the last LVC retreat.  Ate our first zuc. of the year.

grateful list:
-music!
-class conversations
-love, even if it rambles...
-gardens
-an accepting congregation at the UU (who I hope will like my sermon on the spirituality of Botany this Sunday... even though I'm not as prepared as I would like to be)
-clean water to drink
-public transportation

hi there :)

NPR story on health care:

Hello folks :)

Recent times have been oh-so-delightful!  Last night there was a real live thunderstorm (in Seattle!) and a bluegrass jam with a next door neighbor who clogged to it.  Corrie and Ba are here... they'll be back to Sula soon bringing Eli as well.  Then Vincent will get here at some point and in the mornin' we'll leave with L'Arche friends for a weekend camp out... instruments included!  It was intense to have my Berea kids here with my Seattle friends... it was suddenly apparent (more so!) that I'm really leaving and I know where I'm going.  It will be hard to leave.

...also something I must rave about is Burgerville!  http://www.burgerville.com/  Check it out... it looks like fast food, but it's local!  Their wiki article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burgerville,_USA  ... I cried I loved it so much :)  Then we wrote a song about burgerville... I'll share it soon perhaps.

Thanks to folks who sent well wishes when I was sick!  I think y'all have healed me on up.
